Michael is originally from Long Island, New York. While in high school, he was active in the music department by playing the saxophone in every ensemble offered during his time there and was active in the theater department by either acting on stage or performing in the pit orchestra. When he wasn’t in school, he was certified by the American Red Cross and was a lifeguard and water safety instructor. After graduation, he moved to Fairfax, Virginia to attend George Mason University. He earned a bachelor’s in music education and a master’s in music performance. He was also an active member of his fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi and its philanthropy, The Ability Experience. His favorite memory as a part of that was participating in the Inaugural Build America Team in which about 25 of his fraternity brothers from around the country traveled to six different camps that served kids with special needs. They built functional amenities for each camp including wheelchair ramps, nature trails, sensory gardens and climbing towers. Once Michael graduated from college, he became an elementary band teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools and in 2015, moved to Apple Valley, Minnesota permanently with his two daughters, Grace, who is currently at Apple Valley High School and Lily, who is currently at Falcon Ridge Middle School in District 196. Michael eventually worked as a band teacher in Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights and Woodbury but decided in 2022 after teaching for a total of 18 years, he was ready for a change. Beginning in February 2023, Michael became the newest team member for Pete Peterson’s agency and State Farm. Michael is a problem solver and loves to interact with people from all different types of backgrounds and communities. He believes in the long-term benefits of what State Farm can offer since he has been a customer with State Farm when he started driving. As a risk advisor, he is committed to figuring out what your family’s long-term plan will be to help you move forward with your lives securely and successfully while facing unexpected challenges along the way. Hayley is originally from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, but she spent much of her childhood going to south-west Wisconsin to visit family and friends. She went to college in Eau Claire, graduating in three and a half years with a bachelors in English and minor in journalism before moving to the cities to experience a faster-paced life. So far, she's loving it.
When not at work, Hayley is going on adventures with her friends as she explores all the cities have to offer, collecting experiences like some collect magnets or mugs. On the quiet days, she's taking care of her cat and writing stories for her friends and herself. She hopes to be a published author by the time she turns 30.
